Work: Jonathan Farr: Looking West From Centrepoint

Artist and illustrator Jonathan Farr spent much of last year perched on various balconies and fire escapes at some of London’s landmark buildings

“I got special permission to draw up there,” Farr tells us. “It was a lot warmer than when I drew the Thames from a fire escape at the top of the National Theatre in March last year. And I had easy access to cups of tea – which helped.”
The full image, along with the other drawings that Farr created in the building, will be shown in an exhibition to be held on the 18th floor of Centrepoint, coinciding with the London Festival of Architecture.
