Gallery: Wilfrid Wood Levi's Characters
Gavin Lucas
Win these characters in this month's Gallery competition

In our April issue Work section, we reported that Wilfrid Wood, commissioned by London design studio Neighbour, had created three ‘slightly twisted’ characters as part of a campaign to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Levi’s Engineered (twisted) Jeans.
The characters Fingers, Hopper and Bernard each represent a different style of Engineered Jeans, and hand painted, cast polyurethane resin models of the trio, approximately 25cm tall (as shown here), are now being displayed in Levi’s stores as part of the campaign. “The characters, as with the rest of the campaign, are a celebration of all things twisted,” Neighbour’s Dave Oscroft explains. “They each wear a different fit of Levi’s Engineered Jeans, with the minute details meticulously sculpted and painted by Wilfrid Wood.”
While there is a plan to produce a limited run of boxed, collectible versions of the characters at some point in the future, we have – for our Gallery prize this month – one of the full sets (only 150 were produced) created for in-store display purposes. For a chance to win the set, simply tell us who had a hit record with The Twist in 1960. Send your entries on a postcard to: Gallery, Creative Review, 50 Poland Street, London W1F 7AX to arrive no later than June 30 or enter online. Terms and conditions on request.
