The Annual: December

Creative Review

December's best work includes Sony's one-take projection mapping short films, a collaboration between an illustration collective and a shoe designer, and Music's Christmas video commentary

LOUIS VUITTON: THE GREAT JOURNEY OF LITTLE BAG CHARMS - PART OF A BIGGER PLAN

A charming film on charms - the kind that decorate Louis Vuitton handbags.

IA PREGNANCY TEST - EDUARDO DEL FRAILE

Impressively striaght-forward packaging for a pregnancy test kit.

DREAMS OF YOUR LIFE - HIDE & SEEK

This absorbing web experience helped promote Film4's feature Dreams of a Life, which tells the sad and shocking story of the life and death of Joyce Vincent who was found dead in her London bedsit. The site features text from AL Kennedy, and is a series of questions, many very personal and some uncomfortable, that aim to draw our our true feelings about friendship, and of loneliness.

CHRISTMAS MUSIC VIDEOS - MUSIC

Instead of sending out Christmas cards, Manchester design studio Music set up a website providing witty commentary to seasonal favourites such as Do They Know It's Christmas. As the song plays, the captions pop up: it helps if you are very familiar with the video.

TRACEY NEULS & LE GUN - TRACEY NEULS DESIGN

Collaboration between shoe designer Tracey Neuls and illustration collective Le Gun creating a limited edition line of shoes, in-store graphics and packaging.

SONY: GREAT FILMS FILL ROOMS - STUDIO OUTPUT

To promote the range of movies now available on the PlayStation Video Store, a series of short films were shot in one take, in real time and with no post-production, using projection mapping. An ordinary room transforms into a movie set with projected images that move in real time to create a virtual world.
