A great nostalgia fest and an indication of how much things have changed in the gaming industry, this journey through the evolution of video games shows how the various genres (war games, sports games, etc) have advanced with the available technologies. The clip was produced for a presentation made by game developer David Perry at the TED Conference.

A nostalgia fest indeed. Much of which was part of my adolescence (that gives my age away!) The question you've got to ask yourself, is what does the next 20-30 years hold? HD quality games? The other question you've got to ask, is what will happen to the film industry?
Ohh... It's all change! Best bury my head in the sand...

Anybody know where the World of Warcraft European servers are located? Someone said they are all in Britain but I am not sure. Would they have some in Germany, some in Finland etc?
I am trying to do a business plan for my own massive multiplayer game and was wonder how they spread out the resources.

Yes that is a nice idea but have you ever thought of going up to the biggest guy on the subway and telling him your thoughts on this. I wonder what he might do, or would you even do it.
