Got a message to send?

It’s pretty easy to be cynical about branded messages these days. But we’ve been looking at a new message-sending tool, Get The Message, created by Glue London to help promote The Royal Navy and – perhaps surprisingly – using it is enormous fun…
The gist is simple: the Royal Navy will deliver any message you want to send (limited to 110 characters. The ‘f’ word isn’t allowed) to whoever you like, either to an email address or to a mobile phone. Your message is then incorporated into a piece of footage showing a message delivered, either by a diver, a fighter jet pilot, a helicopter pilot, a Royal marine or a submariner.
Sounds pretty dry, right? BUT, when you use this, you quickly realise that the seriousness of each piece of footage - with men in uniform operating machines of war - can be hilarious when, for example, a man jumps out of a recently landed fighter jet to deliver a message such as “Hello luv, I know you’ve got a busy day - but could you pick up some spuds from Morrisons later?”
Here’s the link to the site / a message we let the Royal Navy deliver earlier:
