We've never quite understood the point of mobiles for anyone past the age of 18 months (the hangy things not the phones), but when they are as beautiful as those produced by Zoe Bradley for French fashion label Marithé+Francois Girbaud, maybe it's time to reconsider.

Bradley, who is known chiefly for creating spectacular sculptures and one-off pieces of clothing for fashion shoots (including for the Alexander McQueen/Nick Knight collaboration above), catwalk shows and window installations, has designed a series of mobiles and headpieces for M+FG's SoHo boutique. Coming in at $3500 for a mobile and between $600 and $1600 for a headpiece, they are not exactly an impulse purchase.

Bradley says she was inspired both by the design of M+FG's shop, which mixes "futuristic deconstructivist interiors with lush natural vegetation" apparently and also by her recent work with not-for-profit Seeds Of Peace.

The project is the fourth in a series of works going under the title CONSTRUKT, whereby artists and designers are invited to produce works to feature in the Marithé+Francois Girbaud store, 47 Wooster Street, NYC. Bradley's pieces will be on show throughout May. CONSTRUKT is curated by Sebastien Agneessens and produced by ReflexAdvertising, NYC. London-based Zoe Bradley's work is available at www.areia.com
