...with me it's a full-time job. Now behave yourself." It's turning into Michael Caine day here. Following on from Gav's post about the posters for Zulu, below, we thought you'd also like to see this new print featuring the location of a seminal scene from 70s Brit gangster flick, Get Carter.
Fans of the film will recognise the Gateshead car park atop which Caine's Jack Carter has a barney with small-time hood Cliff Brumby, played by Bryan Mosley (aka Alf Roberts off of Corrie). Carter laters ends up shooting Brumby who falls to his death from said car park.
This jolly scenario has inspired Sheffield-based We Live Here to create a 400 x 305 mm litho print of the building which is available from the BALTIC contemporary arts centre for £20
Architecture fans will know that the building is actually Owen Luder's Trinity Centre Car Park, long-regarded as a Brutalist masterpiece but soon to be demolished.

We Live Here also have a great print of Sheffield's Tinsley Cooling Towers, also, sadly, soon to be demolished. Sniff.
Lovely prints, mind.
