YCN at RCA OK

If you happen to be in London this weekend, drop by the Royal College of Art where an array of talented young creatives, designers and illustrators have their work on show courtesy of the good folk at Young Creatives Network. You can even take a ride on a mechanised giraffe...
The show features work selected from the YCN database of talent alongside the winners of its Design & Communication Awards, in which students respond to a series of live briefs set by the industry. YCN has grown impressively from its routes as a platform for emerging creative talent. As well as the award, its activities now include publishing a series of books featuring work from some of the 40,000 registered members on its database and educational activity.
But where YCN has really found a niche is in supplying talent to the advertising and design industry. It now has a central staff whose role is to work day to day with creative organisations internationally who wish to source talent from among the YCN member base for jobs, placements and freelance roles as well as for illustration and image-making commissions. In fact, CR will shortly be taking on designers on regular placement via YCN. If you're interested, apply through the YCN site.
