Great new videos
Happiness video, Goldfrapp, directed by Dougal Wilson, production company: Colonel Blimp
For your Friday pleasure, here is a selection of great new videos we've spotted recently. First up is another gem from Dougal Wilson, his second in a row for Goldfrapp. This one's for new track, Happiness, and, appropriately enough, is pretty much guaranteed to make you smile. Unless you're a commentator on Antville, where the video has caused rather a storm of debate. A quicktime of the video can be viewed here.
Wanderlust video, Björk, directed by Encyclopedia Pictura, production company: Ghost Robot
Directing duo Encyclopedia Pictura have caused much excitement with their epic new video for Björk's new song Wanderlust. And rightly so, as the results are very lovely. The video is intended to be viewed in 3D but if you're not lucky enough to attend a 3D screening, the 2D version is still pretty incredible. A quicktime is here and a film of the directors and Björk talking about the video is here.
Back of the Van video, Ladyhawke, directed by Kinga Burza, production company: Partizan
You Know Me Better video, Roisin Murphy, directed by Jaron Albertin, production company: Rokkit
Jaron Albertin's latest, for Roisin Murphy's You Know Me Better, is filmed with Albertin's usual strong artistic style, though is clearly influenced by Cindy Sherman's Untitled Film Stills series of photographs. Quicktime.
Sanctuary video, The Cavalera Conspiracy, directed by Rozan & Schmeltz, production company: Partizan
Finally, we end on a bloody note with directors Rozan & Schmeltz's gorefest for heavy metal band The Cavalera Conspiracy. A quicktime can be found here, if you want to see those blood splashes in higher definition.
As ever, please post any links to great videos we might have missed in the comments box below.
