KK Outlet, 42 Hoxton Square, London

Earlier this month, Dutch communications agency KesselsKramer opened its latest hub, right here in London. KK Outlet, based at 42 Hoxton Square is essentially a new "multifunctional" office for the agency that will also act as a shop and gallery. True to form, this is no ordinary space either. For starters, the building (designed by the architectural firm FAT) has been sliced diagonally down the middle...

KesselsKramer's new office also has a shop. As the sign says: they do not sell dolphin meat here

A door, no, in fact, a wall ON WHEELS?! Crazy!

FAT were also behind the refit of KesselsKramer's main site in Amsterdam; the Divine Providence chapel on the city's Lauriergracht (built by AC Bleys in 1882). The nuns are long-gone, replaced (on CR's last visit anyway) by a medieval tower, a wooden beach hut and strips of fake grass on the floor.

The London camp, while a little more sedate, still clearly reveals the idiosyncracies of the agency. Yen Yen Ho, as managing director, will work alongside Erik Kessels and Engin Celikbas, the company's creative director and managing director, respectively. A new creative director, Richard Walker (previously of Wieden+Kennedy, Amsterdam) joins the team in March.

Like CR's kitchen, KesselsKramer's also has a chaise longue in it

Quick correction: it's a chaise longue, not chez longue. And it's indeed a great piece of furniture to have in your kitchen.

Thanks Roberto.

It's no excuse, but I think I had a Victor Lewis Smith sketch in my head at the time, where he - in a fantastically bad French accent - pronounces it "shez longYOOEZ"

Good spot though, cheers. Mark
