Stork, Monster.com, Agency: BBDO, New York. Production company: Rattling Stick. Director: Daniel Kleinman
Following on from Patrick's early morning blog post on some of the great work we've received at CR lately, here's a second helping of good stuff for your perusal, to help you through the last hours of the working week. First up is this slightly strange ad for the job-search website, Monster.com, from BBDO New York.
Adi Dassler, Adidas, Agency: 180 Amsterdam. Production company: Stink. Director: Martin Krejci
Next, a beautifully animated spot for Adidas from 180 Amsterdam. The spot tells the story of Adidas founder Adi Dassler.

Still from Arcade Fire's Black Mirror promo-website, directed by Olivier Groulx & Tracy Maurice, website created by Vincent Morisset
Vincent Morisset has created this interactive music video for Arcade Fire's new track Black Mirror. The video follows Morisset's previous one for the band for Neon Bible, which can be played along with here.
The Denialers, Burnrate.ca, Agency: Lowe Roche, Toronto. Creatives: Geoffrey Roche, Christina Yu, Joseph Bonnici, Patrick Shing, Chris Avgerinos. Production company: Sons and Daughters, Toronto. Director: Matthew Eastman
Lowe Roche in Toronto has created this series of spots aiming to alert people to the necessity of financial planning. The ads are based around The Denialers, a family of characters whose spending is out of control. Papa Denialer's film is shown above. The message here is a good one, although for entertainment's sake the family have been painted as extremely obnoxious - more fun to watch, but perhaps not as easy to feel much empathy for. The films all direct viewers online to burnrate.ca, where financial advice is offered.
Next up are these rather fine X-ray pics taken by Nick Veasey as part of the new identity for the City & Guilds Centre for Skills by Purpose. The images are part of a set of shots of objects photographed to appear as organic forms, which represent the ethos of the centre: growth and development through vocational training.
Finally, being bloggers ourselves, we naturally keep an eye on the other blogs out there and have recently been finding surprising enjoyment in Kanye West's offerings on his website, kanyeuniversecity.com. Okay, he spends a fair amount of time plugging his own products and posting pics of his glam life (Kanye with Jay-Z and Beyonce at the Grammys, above), but he also reveals a canny eye for quirky art and design objects. Here are some of the objects he's posted recently...
Lamp sculpture by British artist Ryan McElhinney...
... a magnetic curtain from designer Florian Kräutli...
...and, um, this hammock lined with coyote fur...
Kanye's blog even reads as if he writes most of the thing himself (for better or worse), which frankly shows a commendable work ethic. Go Kanye! Check it out at kanyeuniversitycity.com/blog.
