On Friday we got to Camberwell College of Art's MA show where there was much to see. Here are some of the highlights from the Illustration show.

Book by Hyo Jung (Veronica) Ha
Hyo Jung Ha (who signs her name as Veronica) created a book, The Sun Tree, by laser cutting images into thin wooden pages. The book's pages are bound together with tiny metal hinges and it even has its own wooden slipcase

A very nice mix.

It's settled: 2008 is the year of the die-cut.

Not die-cutting honest joe, LASERING!
It's the year of the LASER!

My neighbour has a Laser.
It's kind of handy.

Again - congrats to the students. Look forward to seeing more.

Action Man, does he actually have a laser. And, if so, can he cut sheet silver?

Ed, yes he does. We've experimented with it quite a lot.
We recently used it on some 4mm thick leather.
What thickness is the Silver exactly?

Action Man, I guess 1mm or less. It's for a jewellery/design project – email me via my website. (Sorry to discuss business here Cr, I love the Yann Brien illustrations!)
