Is this where skateboards go to die?
Also spotted on my trip around the South Bank yesterday (see post below) - this pier on the footbridge from the Festival Hall to Embankment. Presumably, the skaters who frequent the concrete space by the National Film Theatre honour their busted boards by lobbing them off the bridge to this final resting place.

You should see a famous skate spot i Barcelona right next the the main train station. There is some kind of sunblocker/roof filled with skateboards, hundreds..
