CS Shanghai: Digital Snowglobes and Sad Lamps

Digit's Daljit Singh showed two cool R&D projects at the Creative Social in Shanghai: a digital version of the snowglobe that shows the weather in any city in the world and a lamp that reacts to the day's news...
The Digital Snowglobe has an iPhone inside it's clear plastic dome. Shake it up and an app inside randomly loads the weather from a different city each time:
Bob the Lamp, on the other hand, reacts to a feed of the day's news - when things are good, it stands tall,


but when, as now, it's all looking a little bleak, he hangs his little bulby head in despair
