For the special Christmas edition of their creative get-together, Glug, Ian Hambleton (of Studio Output) and Nick Clement (Made Studio) have launched a seasonal competition. Creatives are invited to respond to the statement, "All I want for Christmas is..." to be in with a chance of winning some rather tasty prizes.

At the Christmas Glug at the Bodhi Gallery in east London on December 11, a final shortlist of ten works will be displayed (and they'll also be showcased here on the CR blog). Three eventual winners will then be decided on the night.

Now then, to those prizes. Confirmed so far:

A signed, framed Pixies print by the legendary Vaughan Oliver; a signed, framed Build print from Michael C Place; an internship at either Studio Output or Mainframe; some Jon Burgerman Heroes of Burgertown figures; a three-course evening meal for two at Bluu Moorgate in London; AND a year's subscription to Design Week.

Can't say fairer than that.

So, here are the entry details from the Glug chaps:

Send entries via post, FTP or email by December 1 to:

‘ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS...’
STUDIO OUTPUT
109 BLACK BULL YARD
24-28 HATTON WALL
LONDON EC1N 8JH

GLUGLONDON@GMAIL.COM using the subject: ALL I WANT FOR
CHRISTMAS IS...

Make sure to include all of your contact details with your entry and any extra information that the judges might require.

Tickets for the Christmas Glug event go on sale tomorrow (November 1) and are available from gluglondon.co.uk. It's a non-profit event, too, so all proceeds will be donated to a charity nominated by Ian and Nick.

Wow, this really looks like its going to be one hell of a merry collection. Here in South Africa we're a couple of students who will also participate in this holy moly of design.

@Ads & Colm.

Yes, it would seem so. Here's the blurb from the All I Want flyer (sorry about caps):

WE’RE LOOKING FOR ALL TYPES OF CREATIVES TO TAKE PART. FASHION DESIGNERS, GRAPHIC DESIGNERS INCLUDING WEB, PRINT AND MOVING IMAGE, ART DIRECTORS, FILM MAKERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, INTERIOR DESIGNERS AND ARTISTS. THE BRIEF IS MEANT TO BE VERY OPEN ENDED SO PLEASE HAVE SOME FUN WITH IT.

It also says:

THE ONLY LIMITATIONS ARE THAT IT NEEDS TO BE RELATIVELY EASY TO DISPLAY AND
ALSO JUDGE. ALL ENTRIES WILL NEED TO BE EITHER SENT VIA EMAIL, VIA FTP OR BY POST. IF YOU’RE CREATING AN OBJECT, ITEM OR INSTALLATION PLEASE DON’T THROW IT AWAY AS WE MAY WISH TO DISPLAY THIS ON THE NIGHT.
