Simon Egli (aka S1M) sent us a sample of his latest project, zweiPhone, which adds a notalgic twist to your iPhone. zweiPhone is a collection of stickers of old mobile phones that can be applied to the back of Apple's ubiquitous product...

Egli's idea, he explains, is to add some "classic design history" to the rise of the "blank and impersonal" iPhone. Plus, using a sticker of one of the more battered models, might even deter nasty types from nicking your prized possession.

More info at zweiphone.com, where you can also purchase a set of 14 stickers (for both black and white iPhones or iPod Touch devices) for $14.

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant! I am clinging on to my battered Nokia N95 for as long as possible, but feel an iphone may be next on the cards. With these maybe I can hold on to my beloved Nokia a little longer.

I love it, but also love the "impersonal", unblemished (currently), white finish to my beloved iphone.

Why are they *brilliant*? They don't fit the iPhone and at best look like an old phone sitting on top of an iPhone. Am I missing something?

Genius! I couldn't agree with Cazfm more! I too am still using an 'old' Nokia and am feeling pressured to probably upgrading to an iphone. Now it's cool to have an old phone - i might look on eBay for an even older model! Who needs an iphone now? I've passed this link on to all my iphone-user mates to make the smug feel suddenly uncool...

How terribly ironic. Has he made iphone stickers for those designers who still using their nokia's? Maybe then we could join in in some for the conversations.

Wow, nostalgia for 2005. The past isn't what it used to be.

'Plus, using a sticker of one of the more battered models, might even deter nasty types from nicking your prized possession - what utter rot!!

It's a terrific statement about the pace of technology when products become cool and retro so quickly
