A dedicated Dudeist is the subject of one of three new idents shot by director Seth Gordon of Moxie Pictures for VW's See Film Differently campaign which supports Independent Cinemas.

Dudeism, for those of you that don't know, is a way of life based on the personality and attitude of Jeffrey Lebowski, aka The Dude, played by Jeff Bridges in the 1998 Coen brothers film The Big Lebowski.

Agency DDB worked with Gordon to create three stories that demonstrate the power of film and the resulting idents are brilliantly observed, funny - if not a just a little disturbing. Here are all three 60 second cuts for your delectation:

Is it me or isn't it a tad ironic that these people and campaign are basing their new found 'beliefs' based on major motion pictures and franchises... not independent films... Good on 'em thou I always found Freddy to be an inspiration!
