When I Grow Up by Fever Ray, directed by Martin de Thurah
Here's a round-up of great new videos to help ease you to the end of the working week. We kick of with a moody number for Fever Ray track When I Grow Up, directed by Martin de Thurah.
Day and Night for Kid Kudi, directed by So-Me
So-Me return with this neat live action and animation combo for Day and Night by Kid Kudi.
Love Etc by the Pet Shop Boys, directed by Han Hoogerbrugge
Han Hoogerbrugge is behind this animated promo for the Pet Shop Boys' catchy new single Love Etc (the lyrics of which contain a reference to artist Gerhard Richter - impressive for a pop tune).
Halston Fall 2009 film, directed by Nez
This film is technically not a pop video, but as it shows a great combination of image with music it is worth a mention here regardless. Directed by Nez, the film was created for fashion brand Halston and was used recently to launch its Fall 2009 Ready-To-Wear collection instead of a traditional catwalk show. The film was emailed to editors and retailers, who were then invited to see the collection at Halston's showroom in New York.
Welcome to Heartbreak for Kanye West, director: Nabil
Finally we end with some more 'datamoshing', as seen recently in Ray Tintori's video for Chairlift. This one is for Welcome to Heartbreak by Kanye West, directed by Nabil.

Still don't understand why datamoshing is interesting. It looks like a bad skype call.

Also check out Sebastien Tellier's new 'Roche' promo. White suit? Check. A Piano with all white keys? Check. A sprinkling of random surrealist touches? Check. Essential viewing.
