My Girls, Animal Collective, directed by Jon Vermilyea and Chad von Nau, production: Knowmore Productions

Here's a selection of our favourite videos of late. First up is this video for the great new Animal Collective track My Girls, by Jon Vermilyea and Chad von Nau.

See the Sea, Hjorvar, directed by Sigvaldi J Kárason and Björn Ófeigsson, production: Enjoy

Icelandic production company Enjoy is behind this atmospheric vid for Bowie-esque act Hjorvar.

Float, Flogging Molly, directors: Karni & Saul, production: Flynn Productions

Karni & Saul have directed this beautiful stop-frame animated video for new track Float from Flogging Molly.

That's Not My Name, The Ting Tings, directed by AlexandLiane, production: Factory Films

This is the third video that's been made for the Ting Tings' That's Not My Name, which seems a bit excessive in these straitened times, but what the hell, we like it. This one's directed by AlexandLiane and has been made for the US release of the track.

This Rhythm, Filthy Dukes, directed by Sarah Chatfield, production: Colonel Blimp

Sarah Chatfield has directed this spooky party piece for Filthy Dukes track This Rhythm.

The Virgins - Teen Lovers from inyourfaceTV on Vimeo

Mr Hurricane, Beast, directed by Ben Steiger Levine, production: Nufilms, Montreal

Finally, we end with this bee-filled vid for Beast, directed by Ben Steiger Levine, which is causing quite a buzzzz online (sorry).

My Girls by Animal Collective is highly addictive. I am on a strictly five times a day course, and still wanna leave everything behind and move to a beach in California every time I hear it... Listen to with caution!

i think the animal collective video doesn't sit with the track at all well. the only clearly photographed/represented components are the instruments. and the music seems to do more than most electronically produced to efface it's electronic character. it's not a happy reveal. and the strains of sonic colour and subtlety in the track are completely unsuited to the 000100010101010010ique quality of the floating debris.

i remember 'peacebone'. it was so much richer. i was really disappointed by 'my girls'. the track is epic. deserves more. or deserves otherwise.
