Design duo Kai and Sunny first came to our attention here at CR about five years ago when we saw some beautifully illustrated record sleeves they did for Disorient Records. Since then the pair set up their own clothing label, Call of The Wild, which has seen collaborations with Reebok and Nike; designed book covers for various publishers including Hodder & Stoughton, Faber & Faber, and Penguin; and worked with a various ad agencies such as BBH, Fallon and Leo Burnett - on campaigns for the likes of Vodafone, Cadburys, and Becks. Now the duo have an exhibition of large format screenprints at East London's Stolenspace gallery which shows off their penchant for nature-inspired illustrations...
What A Wonderful World by Kai and Sunny runs until 15 February at Stolenspace gallery, Dray Walk, The Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, London E1. Tel. +44 (0)20 7247 2684

I dropped into Stolenspace for my first time on Friday, which happened to be the opening night of What a Wonderful World.
The buzz of people hanging around in and outside get many more people wondering what the hell was going on in there I'm sure.
The works are impressive, far more so than these photos can provide. My particular favorite is the purple and green one in the pictures above which is grand at its scale and I want it LOL. Also learnt that apparently parts of these prints are hand painted also.
Anyway, recommend checking it out and if your in it to buy move quickly as little red stickers were going on them fast!

Kai and Sunny,
hats of boys, the work looked amazing and the buzz around the space on Thursday evening was amazing!
Hope the rest of the show goes just as well!
Anyone looking for some inspiration and a collectors item for the future would do well to pop into the stolenspace gallery while the show is on!

A very good exhibition, the work looked amazing. A great turn out on the opening night. I've known their work for some time now, but this was impressive. If you want a piece of affordable contemporary art or just some inspiration check out Kai and Sunny at Stolen Space.

kai & sunny's exhibition is gorgeous... stunning large prints & canvases that take their designs from collectable prints to collectable art... i loved the teepee lights & the way everything tied in together, i have not seen a more resolved and concise show in ages.

Considered, slick and professional. Impressive signature work that is evolving at a perfect rate. Very reasonable prices of large, limited and quite epic pieces.
Well done boys.

Beautiful show in a gallery that is collecting a great selection of artists. The work was well up to the standard I've come to expect of Kai and Sunny, I want a tipi!

Loved seeing Kai and Sunny's work on a larger scale.
I'll have to make another visit to the gallery, so I can stand in an empty space and admire.
Where next? Scale the work up so it's even bigger.

I have been following Kai and Sunny for a while and I love their work, they have a very distinctive style. The show was brilliant, the best pieces of work ive seen them produce. very affordable prices. It was a great night, hats of to them both

Excellent, I just wished I had bought one before they all sold out!

Wow! An amazing exhibition. They obviously spend way to much time in front of the computer, it's a wonder that they don't go blind!. Such detail. The complexity of their work just leaves me in awe.

Brilliant stuff. a refreshing and beautiful body of work.

To be honest this was what I expected from a former Yeovil farmer. All them fields, un lights, and the waft of the big smoke raising over-yander. Stick to ploughing.
I am of course joking, and will categorically deny having ever written thi; even though it is signed; from me; arse.
I have known Kai since he were a wee lad and now he's become a man. If I didn't live in such a small cottage I'd buy me one of these if I didn't suspect that my girlfriend (whilst agreeing with their aesthetic beauty) would proceed to use the aforementioned purchased, framed silk screen-print as a weapon against me before I even tried to get it through the door.
Go and see this show, if for nothing else than the exquisite detail that has been achieved. Truly wonderful, oh bollocks! But it is.

I WANT ONE!

Refreshing and heart warming, Kai & Sunny's work will surely be making appearances in all sorts of media in the near future from album covers to cards and wall paper. These paintings have both great personal and commercial value.
Well done boys, keep em coming.

Nice to see the pointiller pair produce work to that size, it really allows you to see the detail, intricacies and 'wonderfulness' of their current show.
Well worth a look or two.

@ Pablo - your accompanying What A Wonderful World half hour mix isn't to be sniffed at either... Been really enjoying that this last week. Any chance of a track list?

Again, painstakingly put together as
if it were constructed with lazer guided
tweezers... but, as ever, as clean as ones dreamzz z Zz z z!
Go & check this 1-Time... possibly 2!
A1-Chaps!!

Breathtaking work. Even on this blog the textured and light are amazing.

Kai and Sunnys work is always inspirational, but to see these prints in such a dramatic size really brings it home how textured and intricate their work is. Very distinctuve and very unique. Well worth checking out, and buying, if there are any left! (They look good as a set!!!). Look forward to the next batch!!!
