Two weird videos to start the day

Music Video / Film

First up, Lady Gaga channels Leigh Bowery and Matthew Barney (amongst other things...) in this barmy promo for Bad Romance, directed by Francis Lawrence.

Next, director Yu Sato (part of SSSR) lets an alt Blue Man Group loose on a load of fairy cakes. Lovely stuff.

Really? this is it? The Internet could provide you with A LOT weirder than this, but I'm glad it didn't.

Lady Gaga ain't fit to carry Leigh Bowery's jockstrap. And I say that in the nicest way possible.

Or, you know, not.

Dreary, unimaginative, pointless, derivative, empty.

A lot of money to make a terrible sub Eurovision performance look even more souless and cold that I imagined could be possible possible. They also seem to have sketched in a few potential product placement opportunities, Absolute GaGa anyone?

Yeh thanks for that, I feel much better now. Especially enjoyed the white leotards hatching from Halfords roof boxes

that's not weird! It's ace! As far as pop tarts go GaGa whips all the Pixie Lotts/Coles/Alouds asses if you ask me. Which you're not, obviously.

Would love to add my bubonic vitriol to these illustrious pages but I wasted enough time, watching this bilge, as it is. That applies to both videos, even though it seems Lady Gagagagagagagaa is the focus of most of the well meaning, constructive criticism here. A little bit of CR editorial control wouldn't go amiss chaps.

A massive budget , amazing clothes, great lighting and a rip off of the fabulous Matthew Barney and she is still as awkward and unsexy as a courting penguin doing the Paso Doble dance. How does she manage to ruin it? But an improvement on the last videos of her desperately trying to look sexy. Lady Junk Junk, Lady Gag Gag, Lady i am trying so god damn bloody hard hard!!!

Is it just me, or Miss Germanotta looks like a cheap inflatable doll?
I wish this video were ironical, but alas, it isn't.
Before Matthew Barney there were Stanley Kubrick and Ken Adam...

The second vid can deserve this adjective, well, slightly, the music is interesting as well... While Lady Gaga's is imho an attempt at having "a weird vid", yet, it doesn't really reach that goal, looks like a polished semi-extravagant prod shit, with probably and art director / DOP gotten from the advertising field. It does not go very far from the britneys shakiras aguileras out there, no disrespect ;)

And music-wise, ok, it's cute, but doesn't go very far neither... Does it really deserve to be featured here?
