Javier Mariscal presents one of his animated talks this evening (Monday) at the British Film Institute. There are tickets left, so if you're up for a mad-capped, whirlwind tour of Mariscal's inimitable creative process (plus live drawing on stage) then click through for details...

Mariscal's show, Drawing Life, has just ended at the Design Museum – but they have details about this evening's animated talk on their site, here

The museum's Talks page has this to say about his presentation, Conference, which will be delivered tonight in all its multimedia glory:

"By creating and controlling animation film footage in real time, Mariscal has devised his Conference which is the spontaneous and instantaneous application of his creative thinking onto the silver screen. In this energetic live performance Mariscal manifests the images, voices, narrative and content that transport his characters, the Garriris, from the universe of his imagination onto the screen."

Tickets are £20.15, members £18.65, students/concession £13.65, groups 10 people or over £12.25. BFI box office: 0207 928 3232.

You can also get tickets at the BFI site.

By way of a taster, here he is in Barcelona (the BFI talk will be in English):
