To tie in with the 9th Sci-Fi London Film Festival, graphic design studio Transmission asked 22 image makers from around the world (including Universal Everything, Alex Trochut, Mario Hugo and Tom Gallant) to create a new piece of work depicting their vision of what life will be like in 2050...

Life in 2050, runs at the Proud Central Gallery in London until May 4 and features work by Alex Trochut, Dan McPharlin, Daniel K Sparkes, Emiliano Granado, Future Deluxe, Graham Carter, Hort, Ivan Jones, James Taylor, Jason Tozer, Kerry Roper, Lee Baker, Mario Hugo, MVM (Magnus Voll Mathiassen), Panda Yoghurt, Sam Chivers, Stephen Elford, Tom Gallant, Tom Muller, Transmission, Universal Everything, and Unlimited.

"The brief for each artist was the same: To create an original image depicting their vision of what life will be like in 2050," explains Transmission's Stuart Tolley. "I wanted each piece to be created in an A2 portrait format and framed exactly the same way in thick white wooden frames. The images all sit next to each other at the same height in the gallery space. This gives each image an equal amount of space, so the viewer isn't distracted by scale and framing techniques. I really wanted the varying styles and ideas to be the focus." Here are some photos of some of the work in situ:

Dream on Dreamer by Alex Trochut: "This lenticular print changes colour as you move around it, creating a stunning and hypnotic psychedelic effect," explains Tolley
