Pixel invasion!

Director Patrick Jean is the latest signing over at One More Production in Paris and in Pixels, his playful new short film, a bunch of colourful cubes fly out of an old TV and, in the guise of various well known computer game characters from back in the day, wreak havoc on New York City... Can you name all the games referenced?

BOOO-HISS!
I really wanted to watch this... too bad there's a copyright issue.
Get some clearances!

I do love the addition of the soundtrack by Bazooka here - so bone-crunchingly appropriate!

Needs to be made into a feature film.

It's great to see your old favourite computer characters attacking a city.

Very well produced and some great references. Seems a shame they've filled a copyright complaint into YouTube for this. Surely YT is only going to help promote the viral aspect of this piece of work?

This is brilliant and very well made. I like the way that everything gets turned into pixels and how Pac Man eats up the subway stations. I really hope they make more like this but with different characters.
