Gulliver tied up in Clapham

A 135-feet-long cut-out billboard of Jack Black has appeared in London to promote the forthcoming Gulliver's Travels film
Nicknamed the 'Clapham Colossus', it is the biggest single poster site in the UK and sits alongside the railway tracks by Clapham Junction station. The entire JC Decaux site is 15 feet high and some 200 feet long.

Altho' I'm not Jack Black–averse, I think that's probably more Jack Black than any human person needs.

I saw this poster many times when getting the South West train in to Waterloo. However then it had no jack or people, and was just sky and sand with the logo bottom right. I thought it was a really weird way to advertise the film :) Obviously they've finished it now.

I go past this on the train during my long commute each morning, and it always makes me smile! Got to be the biggest billboard I've ever seen. Great idea.

This is strangely effective in my opinion. I wish I have seen it in real! lol Jack Black's facial expression can easily put a smile on your face especially when this poster is so over size. Over the top slightly but effectively promote the movie in a way you can relate to.

I love this - the story was a fave when I was a child. And Jack Black is quite funny, so might be worth a watch. Love the bigness!

Lets put this in perspective people!
It's hardly ground breaking.
Just classic literature reworked for the gum chewing, goldfish brained masses incapable of reading a book.
Oh the shame of it!!

How intrusive.

Read the book. It's genius. Jack Black beats Ted Danson hands down, however does it make me want to go to the cinema and see the film? No.

I think it would be more effective if they'd somehow got rid of the background. Maybe even print the background on if it needed to be that shape for strength.
