Nutty new MGMT video

We suggest that you just watch this new video (directed by Andreas Nilsson) for MGMT's Flash Delirium and make of it what you will.
According to the production company, Streetgang Films, however, Nilsson "drew inspiration from psychedelic goo masters, David Cronenberg and Stuart Gordon, in particular HP Lovecraft's From Beyond. This was shot in one long, cold, freaky day at the Clue Mansion in Yonkers, NY."
Update: Sony seems keen to stop the video being embedded on blogs, but you can view it on YouTube here.

great idea put a message on you tube saying the record company pulled it, saves wasting all of that money actually making something...

This has nothing to do with anything and is in the wrong thread, but now i see the new CR logo on my beloved blog, I dont like it. Bring back the original, it was classic. This looks dated already.

I think this is a fantastic piece of work. MGMT never fails to surprise when it comes to their videos and this (IMHO) is no exception. Great visual build up as well, definetly got some heavily weird slimy/gooey Cronenberg undertones offset even more weirdly by the OAP's in their military gear - good stuff.

Not quite as good as Everlong, by Foo Fighters, a video with nonsense that makes sense.

What a waste of time, money, effort, sweat, air. Johnob, you gotta stop watching MTV. This is bilge.

Really, the only glaring weakness I can find in MGMT's Flash Delirium is that it may be too unusual, too original, too artistic and too genius to be embraced by the casual viewer. Please don't let this music video become that forgotten, one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

I don't think its strange enough to not ask questions of whats going on (to which there's no discernible answer other than art school theories).
If you want weird beyond question then check out Hot Chip's new effort...
