It's awards time in the ad industry, but how will the juries' tastes compare to those of the public? Here's our list of the Top Ten most shared ads of the year so far worldwide
The table was compiled for us by Unruly Media's Viral Video Chart based on the number of 'shares' each ad has ie the number of times it has been Tweeted, blogged about or shared on Facebook
1. Volkswagen: The Force (Deutsch)
2. T-Mobile: Royal Wedding (Saatchi & Saatchi)
3. The Silent Indian National Anthem (Mudra Group)
4. Chrysler: Imported From Detroit (Wieden + Kennedy)
5. Diet Pepsi: Unbelievable David Beckham (TBWA/Chiat Day LA)
6. Trace Urban: The most amazing beatbox video ever (DDB France)
7. Skittles Touch: Cat (BBDO Toronto)
8. Marvel: Little Thor
9. Icon: Motorcycle vs Car Drift Battle
10. McDonald's: BF & GF (Leo Burnett Mumbai)

1 and 2 are very heavily "inspired" by other pieces, to put it a nice way.

I think giving a little bit of credit was in order for T Mobile...but as usual ad agencies take ideas and present them as their own..

It's obvious it's a parody of that American wedding video. It's not clever, but what they are saying is this:
"What if the Royal Wedding was like an American 'dancing intro' wedding?

Really like the first one - how cute!

haha, love the Volkswagen ad!

I'm with the Skittles cat.

The Beckham ad is a rehashing of the NFL Fantasy "Football" 'Pick Me' series from 2008 (don't quote me on that) and also re-did by the New Zealand All Blacks Rugby team.

Proof surely that advertising communication continues to inspire and maintain its cultural relevance.

the Volkswagen: The Force and the Marvel Little thor are exactly the same. Where they done by the same agency or one is a copy of the other?

Beat Box - amazing - amazing - amazing. The Power of the human voice

Did Beckham really get those balls in the trash cans (bins), or is this clever computer graphics!?

Some poor choices here. Boo

Gotta be a fake ^^?
Look at the 3rd ball as he kicks it, direction doesn't look real, and falls too fast.
But I guess we'll never know!

@lucas
Little Thor is a parody of the Volkvagen Ad.

David Beckham ad is not refreshing, Nike did a similar idea a million years ago.

Bored of T-Mobile now, beat box rocks and my fav - the Thor ad. You can't beat a good rip off.

Pepsi ad has been done with Nike. Beatbox guy is amazing

Of course the Pepsi - Beckham Ad is real – it is because he is that good that he now plays for a second rate U.S 'Soccer' Team...
The Gillette Federer Ad is far more convincing (though fake too)

I can't believe the Pepsi ad is in this list. It completely plagiarizes Nike's ads. I initially thought it was ironic - it would have been more (post)modern if he has missed all three. I'm presuming the golden ball is a nod to Ronaldinho's golden boots, but come on...

I think the Google Chrome ad could give any of these 10 a run for their money, audience-impact-wise...

I agree Gee, Google ad beats the majority

No surprise why they have been chosen as popular ads. It was really entertaining! So funny and impressive! Beat box wonderful, royal wedding is the most funny, the fifth video is unbelievable. Last but not the less on my list is the silent Indian National Anthem.
