Richard Turley of Bloomberg Businessweek, Robert Newman of Reader's Digest, George Lois of Esquire USA, Matt Willey of Port Magazine, and Arem Duplessis of The New York Times Magazine are among the interviewees.
Biemans also groups together cover responses to this year's big news, such as the Japanese tsunami and the death of Steve Jobs. Here is a selection of spreads from the 96 page, 33 x25cm magazine:

LOL! this is fantastic post, i like these magazine covers :))
Great Playboy front cover shot and concept, sadly spoilt by weak typography layout.
Great work. Magazine covers can be awesome, but so often they are destroyed by the cover lines. This is usually not the designers fault. I really like it when occasionally mags release cover images without the copy lines, or the designer devises a cool device to contain the copy and keep it clean, rather than the common competition to include as many different fonts as possible seen on most mags.
You need to stop putting stuff like this on CR. It's costing me too much bloody money.
Beautiful magazine covers. Great design can easily communicate by transcending all languages. This is proven by this selection. Long live print!
Haha that lips on playboy cover are absolutely fantastic!
Extreme but still keeps the level up. I admire such creativity that plays with the idea on the edge. I saw more playboy covers has been rude but gentle at the same time.
Im really looking forward for more posts like this! Thumbs up
Great post, never expected to see Peter Griffin on the cover of Mens Health!
