Carnovsky comes to London

Those of you who helped make our post on Carnovsky's RGB wallpaper one of the 'most read' of 2010 might be interested to know that the studio will be showing work in a London exhibition opening this week...
London's DreamBagsJaguarShoes plays host to La Selva and RGB – The Black Series, the latest examples of the Italian duo's designs that were first created for the Milan shop of Italian wallpaper brand, Janelli & Volpi. In regular ambient light, their RGB series illustrations appear to overlap one another, the many different elements are only revealed depending on whether a blue, green or red light is shone upon them (as shown below).
For their first UK show, Carnovsky has chosen the theme of 'the jungle'.

Images shown are from the Berlin gallery exhibition
You can see the work they created for Milan Design Week, here, while the pieces made for the Johanssen Gallery in Berlin are shown above and on the CR blog here. When we see some images from the London show we'll also put them on the blog.
DreamBagsJaguarShoes is at 32-34 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch, London E2 8DA. More at carnovsky.com.

Great idea and technique. I think we going to see a lot of similar application in the future.

Great feel. Love the way it curls around the door and ceiling.

Such a simple idea, but really cool! Actually, there is no reason to stick just to RGB, except probably because it's easiest to get the lighting the right shade. Some really interesting effects could be achieved, maybe even something like animation, by gradually changing the lighting.
