A nice pill of Rosy Lee
Posted by Creative Review, 21 July 2011, 11:53 Permalink Comments (8)

Here at CR not much gets done before the first cuppa of the day. Bags, loose leaf, we don't mind how it comes but three Kingston graduates have come up with an idea for tea in pill form. Hmmmm...

Rosy Lee's Remarkable Remedy is a range of soluble tea pills. They were created by Kylie-Ann Homer, Senwelo Foster and Sadie-Marie Dedman in order, they say "to illustrate the medicinal qualities of tea. Tea is often used to relieve the stresses and strains of everyday life, and Rosy Lee's allows for a quick release in the form of five soluble tablets that will dissolve in boiling water to create a relieving brew. Rosy Lee's comes in three varying strengths to suit different needs, the coloured dot on the packaging signifies the strength of the tea."

Nice packaging - but it's never going to match a cup of Yorkshire is it?

As Cat said, the mint-green packaging is lovely, but I associate pills with medical use, especially the taste of Paracetamol. The prospect of drinking tea made from a tablet wouldn't appeal to me at all.

How many would you need to take to O.D.?
My personal best is 12 cups in 1 day, so 60 tablets?

Cool concept and lovely packaging, but as stated above, it doesn't beat tea bag dunking. Would gladly give it a try though!

Personally think its genius. Great for camping, festivals, at coffee drinkers houses etc. I would carry them in my bag everywhere. I live in Kingston so would love a sample. ; )

@Cat I have to say, even after being a devout Yorkshire Tea drinker at work, since trying an All About Tea blend I have been converted. Lovely packaging and Identity too by Moving Brands.

I would suggest lemon yellow or green as the packaging color.
And it doesn't have to be put in a jar, but a small bottle like gum or confectionery :)
