Turns out Tom Darracott (whose Kiss Kiss film we featured here on the blog on Monday) isn't the only moving graphics director interested in shiny looking monochrome renderings of everyday objects. Trollbäck + Company's titles for the 2011 TED conference in Edinburgh feature everyday objects, some as big as a plane, some as small as a microbe all rendered as black, shiny 3d shapes that build up in the animation, giving the viewer a shifting cross-seciton view of each object...

Trollbäck + Company has a long history of creating opening sequences for the prestigious TED conferences. For this year's titles the team explored the relationship between nature and science. The company's founder and executive creative director, Jakob Trollbäck explains: "Science and exploration help humans understand their lives by dissecting everything they can touch and feel. This dissection can be seen in the sequence as a variety of objects - both man-made and organic - which are sliced to reveal their complex beauty."

Here at CR, we recognise several of the objects but not all... Can anyone list correctly every single object that appears in the film?

Hello CR, everyone at college is getting into a tizz because the word is that all that was featured on the blogs are those students who got firsts. I mean sure, there is logic in thinking people who got firsts must have the best work, but surely anyone who has ever studied at an arts institute knows this is definitely not always the case. Please explain!!!!!
Im talking about the LCC here btw. Don't know about any of the other colleges.

@ Student

When we go round the degree shows we don't know what grade the students have got. We just choose the stuff we think is interesting. And why are you posting this on a story about something completely different?
