Name that logo

Our April Top 20 logos issue is at the printers. Copies will be available next week so, in advance of that we thought we'd set you a challenge: can you name the logo from the nickname?
In the course of our research into our Top 20 logos we uncovered a lot of nicknames bestowed on logos by their designers and users, not all of them complimentary. So, can you guess the logo from the nickname?
1. The meatball
2. The ferret and dartboard
3. The crows' feet
4. The worm (two possible answers)
5. The arrows of indecision
6. The bird splat
All of them are included in our Top 20, though some refer to earlier versions of the chosen logos.

1_ AT&T – assuming with the old halftone globe?
2_ FedEx – Ferret as in FedEx? ...and the arrow in the negative space impaled in the 'x' perhaps?
3_ Shell – possibly because it's wrinkled (ironically) with dwindling oil reserves?
4_ Nike / Apple ???
5_ British Rail – pretty certain about this one, despite my indecision!
6_ Penguin? – Just because I actually like the London 2012 design, despite any negative public / media opinion. Or now I think about it, Pingu would be a better nickname... strange visions of yellow snow now...
Would be great if someone 'Magnus AKA quiz master' posts the correct answers for us at some point please!

I thought both 1 and 4 could be NASA? Their ultracool 1970s logo was known as 'the worm'. And 'meatball' is the nickname for their original/current logo (the blue circle with the swooshes).

When the current RBS symbol was designed (many years ago by a designer friend of mine) it was referred to by the Edinburgh head office staff as 'The flying arsehole'.
Given RBS' recent performance I suggest that might be thought of as overly polite.
