Guinness has released a new global advert asking the world to paint their towns black in honour of Arthur Guinness, the man originally behind the pint of black stuff...
The spot, from Saatchi & Saatchi in London, aims to promote the celebration of Arthur's Day, an annual music event that has taken place since 2009 on September 27. Various events will take place across the UK on the date this year, keep an eye on Guinness' Facebook page to find out more.

Where was the video shot? Didn't look like anywhere in the UK to me...

Oh how i lament that beautiful town being pimped out for such a superficial advert. it looks like a part of Hungary I used to live in or perhaps I am wrong. I hope the people got their town back and restored while the parasitic advertising scum go back home slapping each other on the back and wait for their award to come in the post. Why didn't they screw up their own backyard, or perhaps its just easier to roll into a foreign town and fuck that up.

It's been a long time (1994) since Joe McKinney's 'Dancing Man' genius. This one gives me a similar vibe - who is on the soundtrack?

We really need to be painting our cities and roads white to reflect more sunlight back into space. Painting black just causes more heat absorption and increases electricity bills, even in the winter.
Painting roofs and roads white is a big step forward in reducing the city heat island effect.

I love it, Epic Guinness advert as usual. On a side note, Roads painted white sounds like one of the worst ideas ever. Think of the accidents. (smells slightly of trolling though to be fair, Ive probably been duped).

@Scott Chandler is almost right but surely it's just the roofs that we would need to paint white. Damn, if Scott was at Saatchi's the ad would have been both sustainably more rigorous and , perhaps more importantly, visually more like a pint of stout.

Transilvania to start with ,you don't spell it with"y" and to say it as Transylvania of Romania it's kinda strange considering that's the only Transilvania.
Otherwise very nice, hopefully you don't go the same problems as the producers of Borat involving gypsies minority coming after more money.
