Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard have created the first promo for band Laibach's forthcoming album of cover versions. The video, for the band's cover of The Normal's Warm Leatherette (here translated as Warme Lederhaut), appropriately (given the song's lyrics) features found footage of crash test dummy tests...

The album, entitled, An Introduction To… Laibach: Reproduction Prohibited, will also include covers of Across The Universe by The Beatles and soft rock classic The Final Countdown by Europe. Even the album artwork is a cover of sorts: it features a painting by the band from 1981 that is based on Rene Magritte's 1937 work, Not to be Reproduced.

"The mirror, a fragile and sometimes distorted reflection of reality, which turns it round, rendering it intangible, was of great interest to Magritte, as it is to us," say Laibach of the album's artwork. "When viewing one of [Magritte's] images, or when listening to [our] covers, there is a sense that the content… might, by a twist of perception, be seen as a reflection in a mirror, a perception that suddenly turns the space of the picture, or the song, inside-out."

An Introduction To... Laibach is released on Mute on September 3.
