Virgin Atlantic's Flying in the Face of Ordinary spot has a nice take on the 'kids with extraordinary super powers idea', shot as a faux movie trailer
The ad is from Virgin Atlantic's long-term agency RKCR/Y&R, written by Pip Bishop and Chris Hodgkiss, and was shot by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet. "Flying in the Face of Ordinary" is apparently to be used by the brand as its new long-term proposition in all communications.
As we've come to expect from RKCR/Y&R and Virgin it's a great, stylish production, with lots of nicely observed gags and a fair bit of flirtation. As well as the trademark hunky older man pilot who looks like he's stepped straight off the cover of a 1970s knitting pattern. Or the Y-fronts pages of a shopping catalogue...
