Cannavaro lifts cup for Nike

Gavin 27/11/06, 18:57

One of our very first blog posts here on CR Blog showed a selection of posters created by Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam for Nike Italy. The campaign was for new Nike football boots and each poster celebrated one of the members of Italy’s World Cup winning team in the style of 1950s advertisements. As we reported in that original blog post, each poster is the starting point for an animated spot and W+K have kindly just showed us the first spot to be completed. It features a very jolly Cannavaro taking on a host of ice cream spoons, from whom he steals a load of balls. Balls of ice cream that is. Truly charming stuff that harks back to a time when advertising seemed well, more innocent…

Director: Giulliano Garonzi. Illustrator: Mauro Gatti. Creatives: Anders Stake, Carlo Cavallone. Production company: Happycentro. Animation: Molti Media. Music: Franco Godi.
