Degree Shows 08: LCC Graphic Design & Illustration

Posters for lookwhatyouvegot.com by Billy Woods and Shaz Madani

We got to London College of Communication in Elephant and Castle last Friday afternoon to have a look at the Graphic and Media Design work which runs until Friday (27 June). Here is a selection of some of the work we particularly enjoyed…

Home Grown poster
This poster (and the others shown in the image at the top of the post) are part of ongoing project lookwhatyouvegot.com by Billy Woods and Shaz Madani – where the pair take inspiration from everyday objects around them.

Ultan Coyle die cut poster
This is one of several striking die-cut posters by Ultan Coyle. Not sure, but we think it’s Irish gaelic text.

Some really nice work here! Yes the poster by Ultan Coyle is the “Our Father” prayer as gaelige!

The posters by Ultan Coyle were hand cut and not die-cut. It was his penance.

Ah, thank you for that info, Funkle, re Ultan Coyle’s posters. It all makes sense now… Our Father… Penance… His posters are really beautiful and my photograph doesn’t really do the project justice. And what my photo here doesn’t show are all the cut out letters that are are on the floor beneath the hanging posters…

you can see some more images here yousee.ie. Unfortunately the cut out letter on the floor where perceived as rubbish and hoovered up by the cleaners so I didn’t manage to get an image.
