If you’ve ever dreamt of seeing your artwork displayed in the street on a giant-sized canvas, then Diesel’s Wall project could be the answer to your lofty ambitions. The project, now in it’s fifth year, aims to offer up some seriously huge display spaces in Manchester (Urbis Centre, shown below), New York, Barcelona and Zurich, in an international art contest.

not inconsiderable, side of Manchester’s Urbis Centre

Diesel will be accepting entries to the competition from March 31 and the cut-off date for work is May 30. The winning work (which will be chosen to be displayed on one of the four sites) will be announced in June, with the work going up in the streets later in the year. To enter, go to www.dieselwall.com.

The jury for the 2008 competition this year consists of Peter Saville, Terry Jones (i-D), Francesca Gavin (Dazed & Confused), Polyanna Clayton-Stamm (Urbis curator) and Wilbert Das (Diesel’s creative director).
