Happiness Factory - The Movie
You remember the Coca Cola ad where the guy puts his coin in a vending machine, inside of which a combination of bizarre creatures and whirling machinery comspire to happily bottle the fizzy brown stuff and make sure it’s icy cold before it’s delivered out the chute? Well, Wieden + Kennedy, Amsterdam have created a follow up er, film (it’s three and a half minutes long) called Happiness Factory – The Movie.
The agency actually premiered it in Second Life last week at a “glitzy event attended by nearly 100 glamourous avatars dressed in red carpet fashions, including reporters from all around the world” and, weirdly, pop star Avril Lavigne.

Sadly, CR were not present at the virtual screening – despite being invited. Passwords were supplied incorrectly so although we were ready to dive into Second Life and meet the virtual Avril Lavigne and eat some virtual popcorn, swig some virtual coke in a virtual cinema, we were left exasperated at our desks wondering what the hell the world is coming to…
However, Second Life fumblings aside, here’s the film (above). Which is now on YouTube – a far easier way (at the time of writing) to disseminate new work…
W+K and Psyop (the animators that created these films) also created a “mockumentary” of life inside the Hapiness Factory which can also be found on YouTube - or simply by clicking here.
