Messing with Lord Vader’s Helmet
What better way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars by getting a group of artists to customise a selection of Darth Vader helmets. Of course! The project will form part of the Star Wars Celebration IV extravaganza which takes place next week in LA (May 24 - 28). Illustrator Cameron Tiede has produced this rather fine effort, which you can see below in its full rotation. (A great selection of masks from the exhibition has just been posted here).
Other artists contributing designs to the project – which is curated by Dov Kelemer, founder of DKE Toys – include Shag, Paul Frank, Mr Cartoon, Frank Kozik, Marc Ecko, Amanda Visell, Tim Biskup, J. Otto Seibold, Gary Baseman, Joe Ledbetter, Robbie Conal and Jeff Soto. And in the meantime, why not reaquaint yourself with the genius that is the Vader Sessions:
