M/M: Now You Can Hold A Candle To Them

M/M (Paris) are to release a limited edition of their work The Agent (Candle Edition), a hand-poured, two colour beeswax candle. Yours for a mere £50, the 175mm high objet will be available from June via London gallery Haunch of Venison where the pair had a show last year.
According to the gallery, “The figure The Agent, is a recurring image in many of M/M’s works and has appeared in varied forms and contexts. Last seen in the form of a light box at ‘Haunch of Venison/Venison of Haunch’, the M/M exhibition in February 2006, The Agent (Candle Edition) is a limited edition of the work. M/M’s work shares many formal properties and conceptual concerns with the ‘Design Art’ movement which, during the past fifteen years, has become an increasingly important practice within contemporary art.”
So what next, we wonder? GTF throw pillows? The Peter Saville Duvet Cover, perhaps, for those who like a nice long lie-in?
