Record sleeves of the week

Top of the pile this week is this CD pack for Svensk Indie 1988-2006, En Kärleks Historia, a double cd compilation on Nons Records of Swedish indie fare that includes tracks by The Wannadies and The Concretes. The pack has been designed and illustrated beautifully by Edvard Scott

Universal Everything created this CD pack for Clark (formerly known as Chris Clark) album Body Riddle on Warp Records. Look closely, they’re not birds on the CD - they’re falling bodies. The video for the first track on the album, Herr Bar, took a prize at the Radar Festival (see previous post).

This fittingly denim sleeve for Jeremy Warmsley’s Dirty Blue Jeans 7″ was designed by Spoiledmilk.co.uk. The pocket contains a CD with extra tracks plus the video for the title track. Label: Transgressive Records.

These are the two 7″ sleeves created by Insect for act The Laughing Windows tracks Opel Hair and Growing Pains - to be released through Battered Ornaments.

Now, we realise these don’t look like newly designed record sleeves… but that’s precisely the point. Record sleeve specialists, The Unknown, have created these retro-looking sleeves for four brand new
Blue Note compilations - the idea being that they look like long lost Blue Note classics.
