Roll Up For The Great Design Auction
Is a Brody worth more than a Sagmeister? Will a Hyland hold its value better than a Carter? Find out on 9 April when over 100 lots from 64 designers go under the hammer of “distinguished rebel auctioneer” Jonathan Barnbrook at The Design Auction.
It’s all the idea of three enterprising students from Lincoln University - Faye Morrow, Matt Mellor and Liam Mitchell. Struggling to come up with an idea to raise money for their final year show, they decided to contact illustrator Jon Burgerman and designer Kate Moross to see if they could blag some artwork to sell in order to raise funds. Thanks to the encouragement of their lecturers John Dowling, Barrie Tullett, Glen Robinson, that idea has now snowballed into The Design Auction in which over 100 items donated by 64 designers, magazines and publishers will be auctioned off by Jonathan Barnbrook.
The contributions include a signed poster by Milton Glaser

Jonathan Ellery’s In and Out book

And a year’s worth of Creative Reviews (we’re expecting some hot bidding wars here, obviously)

Check out the rest of the lots at the Auction website here
It’s all happening at the Jackson Lecture Theatre on the University of Lincoln campus at 2pm on 9 April
