A final year project for MMU 3D Design. 'Rituals' began by exploring the rituals of eating and drinking worldwide and then developed into a project focussing on 3 main themes: encouraging interaction/sharing, encouraging people to focus on their food and enjoy the experience (slow food) and getting people together to develop relationships and decrease awkwardness. 'Share' is a biscuit designed to encourage interaction: you automatically break portions off it to share with others around you no matter your disposition. 'Dip' pasta is a whole new ritual in its own right, complete with a new utensil you have to learn to use. You pick up the specially-designed pasta 'buckets' using the utensil and carry it over to the sauce, dip it in and then eat it. It requires concentratation and you can't help but do it slowly.
