DJ Derek is a world renowned reggae lover. Hailing from Bristol's St Paul's area, Derek has spent most of his adult life soaked in the culture of the West Indian immigrants that arrived in England in the late 50's/early 60's. Derek can be found in one of three places; in a Wetherspoon's pub (he's been to every one in the country), on a bus (he's travelled every National Express route in the country) or blasting out some killer tunes at one of his many gigs around the UK. This short documentary was shot by Jamie Foord & Russell Smith.

I love this guy, I saw him at big chill and would follow him to the ends of the earth just to feel the party vibe he makes!
My friends love him... Gate crashing partys that he has played at...
He has to be some sort of God!
LOL!

Great documentary.
DJ Derek is a legend and the ultimate good vibe DJ.
I have probably spent a week of my life dancing to him at clubs and festivals.
To hear him talk about his life and influences is fascinating.
BIG UP DJ DEREK!
