IVCA Awards 2012 Opening Titles

The IVCA (International Visual Communications Association) is a non-profit industry organisation that supports visual communications in business. They approached us to create their Opening Titles for their 2012 Awards Ceremony.

They were keen to break away from conventional award openers, so were inspired by the new and refreshed award categories. The concept was to represent analogue crafts associated with traditional film and video using objects, and then connect them visually in a more modern and digital way.

This was done using a blend of 2D and 3D techniques, combined and composited with real life objects that we sourced and shot in a studio. The final touch was to use simple typography to introduce each award category within the abstract space.
