It is one of the most famous poster images of all time. The tennis girl nonchalantly lifting her skirt to reveal – well, quite a lot. It was the Athena poster that adorned every teenage lad’s bedroom wall in the seventies, selling 2 million copies along the way and gathering a gaggle of famous fans.
But have you ever wondered what the image taken in 1976 would look like now, 33 years on?
London ad agency ISOBEL have created a tongue-in-cheek advert for Intercasino. The ad, an accurate parody of the original image, has been created to promote a competition to win VIP tickets to the Aegon Masters Tennis
Tournament at the Royal Albert Hall – ‘the tennis stars of yesteryear’.
Paul Houlding, Managing Partner, Isobel comments:
“Not only does this ad have real impact we also think it will put a smile on a lot
of people’s faces”.
