This is a like-able but ludicrous idea. I can't help thinking this trivialises what an 'eco warrior' actually is/was/maybe and I would imagine you'd get a kicking if you tried it out.

Buying into 'activism' in this way isn't big or clever.

dropping a cigarette butt vs carrying a stupid bag that allows you to keep buying stuff.
stop consuming so much, just cos yr not using a plastic bag, doesnt mean youre in any way an environmental activist or environmentally concerned. youre missing the point greatly here. change things by consuming less.

Owning a cotton bag doesn't have any relation to whether or not you buy stuff - otherwise all those people who come home with armfuls of plastic bags every weekend would have long since ceased to exist.
Rampant consumerism certainly is a major part of the problem but having a bag to carry things - groceries, library books, campaign literature - doesn't automatically make you part of the problem.
Attracting people's attention and engaging them is essential. this bag is fun and if it makes people interested in the environment and encourages them to take it out when they - heaven forbid - go shopping rather than getting a load more plastic bags that's got to be a good thing.

not to mention the fact that it is now illegal to cover your head in this way in the uk. try that at a real eco protest and you will be arrested ....
