How to submit work

You need to be a registered user of the CR site in order to upload a project to Feed. To register, please click here.

Step 1: Describe your project

Please give your project a title (which will appear on the Feed homepage) and then fill out a brief description, describing the idea/brief and your approach. You may also use this space for credits. Please note that when entering text into any field (ie title, description etc) no html tags are allowed. All html tags will be stripped from any text submitted. If you fill in the website field with your own site address (don't forget to include http://), your site will be linked from the story when it appears in Feed.

Then, select the relevant subject area(s) for your project (you may choose as many as you like). Selecting subject areas ensures that your project appears on the relevant Subject pages elsewhere on the CR site as well as here on Feed.

Step 2: Upload images/movies

You can upload images of your project direct from your desktop. Click on Select image then choose the image you want to use. Give it a title and caption details (max length 150 characters). The Main image will be the image at the top of the page. It will also be the image used on the Feed homepage and elsewhere on the site in relation to your work. Now, add up to 5 additional images for the same project simply by clicking on Add another image below the Main image section. Please create separate Feed entries for separate projects. If you make a mistake, just click Remove Image to delete it.

Images need to be uploaded as RGB jpegs. All images will be displayed at 569 pixels wide. Once your entry is on the site, the zoom tool on the far right of the image list allows the user to view portrait images at full height at this same width (ie 569 wide by any height). For best results, upload images at 569 pixels wide - other sizes will be scaled up or down to fit.

If your project concerns a moving image piece, you can add a YouTube or Vimeo video by pasting its URL into the space provided using the formats:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7vNm1ZhHxk
or
http://www.vimeo.com/4923427

You cannot upload movie files direct to Feed.

Step 3: Ts & Cs

We need to be sure that you are authorised to post the project and that you are not passing someone else's work off as your own. Please confirm that you have read the Ts & Cs by clicking the button.

Step 4: Proceed to preview

Click the Proceed to preview your submission button to see how your Feed entry will look on the site.

Preview your submission

This is how your project will look on the Feed.

Please check all your text and images. To see a caption, scroll over the image and it will appear. To make a change click Change and you will be taken back to the submission page

If you are happy with your entry click Submit
