Judging panel

We're pleased to announce we can reveal the judges for this year's Illustration Annual.

Liz Farrelly, writer, editor, lecturer and curator, will judge our non-published/self-initiated.

Liz Farrelly is a journalist, editor, curator and broadcaster working in the field of design and visual culture. She has written and edited over 35 books, and has worked with a number of publishers, including Laurence King Publishing and Thames and Hudson. As Design Editor at Booth-Clibborn Editions she instigated some of the most innovative books of the 1990s; more recently, she was Commissioning Editor at RotoVision.

Currently, Liz is acting as Consultant Curator to Pick Me Up, the graphic arts fair at Somerset House, and is an Associate Lecturer in Contextual Studies at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London, and at the University of Brighton. She lives in Brighton, UK.

 

Kuchar Swara is Founder and Creative Director of new intelligent men's magazine PORT.

He has worked alongside some of Europe's greatest editors and art
directors, served as a judge at D&Ad and lectured at home and abroad. Recent projects include the full redesign of The Spectator magazine, catalogue for Molteni&C in Milan, as well as providing ongoing design and art direction for Case da Abitare.

 

Graham Wood is one of the founders of the multi-disciplined creative company Tomato, which has produced award-winning work for a diverse range of companies.

In 2006  Wood joined JWT New York as Executive Creative Director/Visual Communication. Graham joined JWT London in June 2009 as Head of Art, where he has produced work for a range of clients including Unilever, Nokia, HSBC, Kraft, Baxters, Shell, Cadbury and Nestle.
